An Air Canada flight from Amsterdam to Toronto was diverted to Belfast today.

Airline spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick says in an email that flight AC825 was diverted after an "unusual odour was detected in the galley."

The Boeing 767-300 landed safely and the aircraft is being inspected.

There were 208 passengers and eight crew members on the flight.
