Ontario Provincial Police say a member of the force has died while on duty.
OPP spokesman Sgt. Peter Leon says in a release that Det. Const. Dave Herrington died Thursday morning in Orillia, Ont., but gave no other details.
The OPP is conducting a death investigation, but says foul play is not suspected.
Herrington was a member of the OPP physical surveillance unit and had 25 years of service.
