Quebec provincial police are investigating a shooting death in a suburb just south of Montreal.

Local police in Brossard were called late Thursday morning by a resident who reported hearing gunshots.

Officers then found a 41-year-old man unconscious in a car and police say he'd been shot in the upper body.

The victim's identity has not been disclosed.

No arrests had been made as of late Thursday night.
