A Quebec man is facing criminal charges after a collision between his vehicle and another left two people dead and a four-year-old boy fighting for his life.
Yves Martin was charged in a Saguenay courtroom on Monday with one charge of impaired driving causing the death of two people and one of dangerous driving causing the death of two people.
Martin, 35, is also charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
The man and woman died on impact Saturday evening, while their son was transported to a Montreal hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Martin has been ordered detained at least until his bail hearing Friday.
His lawyer did not say whether he will seek his client's release.
