Toronto police are searching for a suspected arsonist after a string of overnight fires in an east-end neighbourhood.
Over a period of about two hours, a car was destroyed, a pair of porches went set ablaze and firefighters also had to extinguish three garbage fires.
There were no reported injuries in any of the fires (in the Danforth and Coxwell area).
No arrests have been made and police have not yet released any suspect information.
Toronto Fire Services Capt. Mike Strapko says residents in the neighbourhood should ensure their sheds and vehicles are locked. (CFRB,CP24)
