Provincial police are investigating the discovery of a body at the scene of a vehicle fire Thursday in Port McNicoll, Ont.

Police and firefighters were called to a fire at the rear of a residence at about 1:45 p.m. in the village just east of Midland.

They discovered the body while dealing with a fire in a vehicle.

It's unclear, however, if the body was found inside the vehicle or outside.

Police have not released the victim's name, gender or approximate age.
