Quebec provincial police are investigating the slaying of an eastern Ontario woman whose body was found in a remote wooded area of the Laurentians.
They say Marielle Portelance's remains were found on Friday.
The body of the 30-year-old Hawkesbury, Ont., resident was found on a public path in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, near the Ontario-Quebec border.
Police say her death was recent but the exact circumstances have yet to be determined and they're treating the case as a homicide.
No arrests have been made and police are asking the public to come forward with information.
