Provincial police say a 15-year-old boy is presumed to have drowned after divers searched unsuccessfully for him for two days in Lake Erie.
Peter Hildebrandt of Malahide Township, south of London, Ont., was reported missing Sunday off Port Burwell in southern Ontario.
Police say a group of young people were swimming out by a pier on the main beach when they came to a deeper section of water and began having difficulty.
One of the swimmers began to struggle and went under water and police say when the group got back to shore, it was discovered that the teen was missing.
Police say they are continuing the search today.
