A man in his 20s is in hospital with serious injuries and his brother is in police custody after an alleged stabbing incident in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police say officers went to a home (on Shady Pine Circle) on Sunday morning after a caller reported a confrontation between two brothers in their 20s.
Police say one of the brothers suffered stab wounds and was transported to a trauma unit where he was in serious but stable condition.
The unnamed suspect was in custody but police say he hadn't been charged as investigators were waiting for an update on the alleged victim's condition in addition to reviewing his statement.
Police say the incident was not a random event and emphasize that there is no concern for public safety.
