A 48-year-old man from California is facing charges related to child pornography after being arrested Monday at the Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., border crossing.

Niagara Region police say they were called by the Canada Border Services Agency after searching a vehicle at the Queenston-Lewiston Bright.

As a result of the investigation, Brian Galeazzi was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and importing child pornography.

Galeazzi was held in custody pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
