Canadian weightlifter Connor Visagie was handed a four-year ban by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport on Thursday for an anti-doping rule violation.
Visagie, a powerlifter from Chilliwack, B.C., provided a urine sample during in-competition doping control on Feb. 19. The sample revealed the presence of a variety of selective androgen receptor modulators, the CCES said in a release.
Visagie admitted the violation, waived his right to a hearing and accepted a sanction through Feb. 18, 2021.
He's ineligible to participate in any capacity with any sport signatory to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program and cannot train with teammates.
