Provincial police say a driver suffered minor injuries when his car went off a highway ramp and landed on its roof on the road below.

Police say the incident occurred Tuesday morning as the 27-year-old was driving on the eastbound ramp to Highway 401 from Highway 403 in Mississauga, Ont.

Investigators say he lost control and the car went over the guiderail and fell onto Tomken Road.

Police say the driver was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Const. Ian Michel says no charges have been laid and the investigation is continuing.
