Provincial police say a person has died after a fuel truck crashed into a highway median early Monday morning.
Sgt. David Rektor says the crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. (on Highway 402) in London, Ont.
He says the driver lost control of the truck and drove into the median dividing the eastbound and westbound lanes, flipping over.
Rektor says the male driver, whose name was not given, was ejected from the truck and died at the scene.
The highway was closed in both directions as emergency crews cleaned up the scene Monday.
Rektor says the truck was hauling ethanol and diesel fuel, and both tanks were ruptured in the crash.
He says the local fire department's hazardous goods team secured the loads.
