Police have arrested two males who they allege were involved in last weekend's stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy.

Police have identified Kareem Deerr as the teen stabbed during a fight last Friday night near the Scarborough Town shopping centre in east Toronto.

He was pronounced dead in hospital.

Police said the fight involved two groups of young people.

Desmond Lincoln Williams, 18, faces a charge of second-degree murder in the case.

A charge of manslaughter has been laid against a 14-year-old boy, who can't be named under youth criminal justice laws.

The two suspects are due to appear in court Friday.
