Police say 11 people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in southwestern Ontario.

OPP say the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Zorra Township, east of London.

They say a pickup truck allegedly failed to yield to through traffic at an intersection and hit a van.

Police say two men in the pickup truck and eight men and one woman in the van were all taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Saul Unsal, the 21-year-old driver of the pickup truck, has been charged with fail to yield under the Highway Traffic Act.
