A woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision on eastbound Highway 401 at Brockville.
Provincial police say the crash happened around 5 a.m. Wednesday when highways were slippery due to snow and freezing rain overnight.
They say an eastbound car lost control, spun out and struck an eastbound transport.
A female passenger in the car, identified as Ludmila Sram, 38, of Richmond Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, identified as Arina Saveleva, 18, of Woodbridge, was taken to hospital in Brockville to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision occurred just west of a series of collisions in Grenville County.
Highway 401 eastbound (between North Augusta Road and Maitland Road) was closed for the police investigation but reopened at about 11 a.m.
