A five-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by a vehicle at his home in Innisfil, Ont.

South Simcoe police say the boy was hit at about 5 p.m. Tuesday (on Fox Hill St.) when a family member was moving an SUV from the driveway to make room for him to play.

The child was pronounced dead in hospital.

The boy's mother was reportedly driving the SUV.

No names have been released and police have not indicated if charges might be laid.
