Provincial police say a one-year-old girl has died of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle collision in Haldimand County.
Police say a Ford SUV driven by a 19-year-old woman crossed into the oncoming lane before leaving the road, and rolling several times before striking a utility pole on Haldimand Road 9 on Dec. 1.
Investigators say the passenger — Everleigh Haworth-Battice — was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries after receiving emergency medical aid at the scene.
Police say the girl was pronounced dead Monday in hospital.
OPP say the collision remains under investigation.
