Police have charged a 22-year-old man who they allege lured a child through social media.

York Regional police say officers were on patrol on June 16 when they stopped a man who was with a 13-year-old boy behind a bowling alley in Richmond Hill, Ont.

They say they were suspicious of the age difference between the two.

Police allege the man asked the boy to meet with him and charged him with one count of luring a child.

They say there are no other victims, but would like to talk to anyone who had any dealings with a person with the user name "funtetrafuntetra."

Const. Andy Pattenden says they will not release the name of the man charged nor which sites he was allegedly using to lure the boy.
