A man has been airlifted hospital after he was trapped under a slab of concrete at a dam in Hamilton.
Police say the 64-year-old Brantford man was pinned when a large cement beam fell on him at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
Police say firefighters rescued the man using a crane, and a representative from Air Ornge says the rescue effort took a couple of hours.
Air Ornge says the man was airlifted to hospital in serious condition with "significant" injuries early in the afternoon.
Police say there were no amputations "required at the scene."
They haven't released the name of the victim.
