A 23-year-old man and a trucking company have been charged in connection with a crash in central Ontario that sent seven people to hospital.

Provincial police say four adults and three children were hospitalized after a truck pulling a trailer of gravel collided with a minivan in the Township of Perth East on July 31.

They've now charged the alleged driver of the truck and the company that owns it.

Mike Donkers, of North Perth, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving and failing to accurately complete daily inspection report.

Donegan's Haulage, also of North Perth, faces one count of failing to ensure daily inspection report is accurately completed.

Both are due in court Sept. 23.
