Provincial police say two teens are facing charges following a crash that left a vehicle burning in a ditch in southwestern Ontario.
Police say the single-vehicle crash occurred on the morning of Nov. 22 southwest of London, Ont., (in the area of Nauvoo Road and Sydenham Line) in Brooke-Alvinston Township.
Officers discovered the vehicle burning in the ditch and after determining there was no one inside, a canine unit was brought in to conduct a search for potential injured people in the area, but no one was found.
Investigators say they've determined the owner of the vehicle is a 19 year-old South Huron, Ont., man who has been charged with public mischief, fail to remain and failing to report an accident.
Additionally, a 19-year-old North Middlesex, Ont., woman has been charged with obstructing a peace officer.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Sarnia, Ont., on Feb. 22, 2016.
