A man in his 20s has died after being pulled from Lake Ontario near the Toronto ferry terminal on Sunday morning.

Paramedics say a group of friends were walking (along Queens Quay at Yonge Street) around 5 a.m. when one of them fell into the water.

The man was underwater for several minutes before emergency personnel were able to pull him out with no vital signs.

He was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition where he was pronounced dead several hours later.

Police say they are treating it as an accidental death. (680 News)
