A 57-year-old man has been charged after a fiery crash that damaged two homes near Belleville, Ont.
Provincial police say a tractor-trailer carrying produce veered onto the front lawn of a home in Tweed early Saturday morning.
They say the tractor-trailer was engulfed in flames after colliding with a tree and hydro pole.
Police say the house, as well as the one next door, also caught fire but the occupants and pets of both homes managed to escape safely.
They say the home where the tractor-trailer stopped was later demolished, while the other home is damaged.
Tarlochan Singh, 57, of Beamsville, Ont., has been charged with careless driving.
