Toronto police say two people are in custody following an incident in the city's east end where a man was shot in the face.
Paramedics responded to a call just before 9 a.m. Thursday and found the victim (near Danforth Avenue and Main Street).
However, officials say the scene of the shooting appears to be further north (on Gower Street near Victoria Park Avenue).
Ambulance officials say it appears the bullet just grazed the victim, adding he was conscious and breathing at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Some schools in the area were placed on hold and secure but that was lifted before noon.
There were no details on the two people in custody or any possible charges and police say the victim was not co-operating with the investigation.
