A motorcyclist has died south of London, Ont., after sliding into the back of a pickup truck.

Provincial police say Michael Turvey, 59, lost control of his motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Central Elgin and slid 50 metres into the truck.

He became trapped under the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police investigation into the collision is ongoing.
