Warmer weather is expected to bring many motorcyclists to the Lake Erie community of Port Dover today.
Provincial police are expecting a much larger crowd today than they saw on the last Friday the 13th event in February, when temperatures fell to -13 C.
The OPP say when the weather is warm, mostly in the summer months, tens of thousands of motorcyclists and enthusiasts attend the popular event in the lakeside community.
The forecast calls for clear skies in Port Dover today and a high of around 6 C, with showers expected in the evening.
It's the second of three Friday the 13ths on the calendar this year.
The next one isn't until November, and there's only one in 2016 — in May.
Police are urging drivers to be patient as the area will likely see increased motorcycle traffic.
"People from around the world attend Port Dover and it's just an amazing event," says OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk.
"We're just asking people to act in a mature, respectful and responsible manner while in attendance at the event."
