Police say a woman has died after being hit by a car in Mississauga, west of Toronto.
The collision took place around 7 a.m. on Lakeshore Road between Shaw Drive and Cayuga Avenue.
Police say the woman, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
Investigators initially said she was pinned underneath a garbage truck but later clarified that the truck driver was a witness to the crash.
Part of Lakeshore Road has been closed off to traffic as police investigate. (680News, The Canadian Press)
