Provincial police have released the name of a pedestrian who was seriously injured in Guelph, Ont., early Saturday morning.

They say 20-year-old Uriah Hartung was hit by a Chevrolet at about 1 a.m., and suffered life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say Hartung remains in a Hamilton hospital.

The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
