Police are calling the death of a Toronto man in North Pickering a homicide.
Claren Troy Middleton was found in a field by a passerby on Friday morning.
Initially Durham Regional Police called the 25-year-old man's death suspicious.
A police news release on Saturday said Middleton died of a gunshot wound.
Police are asking members of the public who know anything about Middleton's activities last week to contact them.
