Police have identified a man who was shot and killed in downtown Toronto over the weekend.
They say 25-year-old Charles Shillingford died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday (in the Yonge Street and Charles Street area).
Police say Shillingford appeared to have been shot and then drove away in a vehicle that was involved in a collision a few moments later.
He was found suffering from obvious trauma and was taken to hospital where he died.
Police say they are interviewing witnesses and obtaining security camera footage of the area where the shooting took place.
