OPP say that a snake was among the items allegedly stolen from a Georgian Bluffs, Ont. home last week.

Someone reportedly broke into an apartment on Highway 6 sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5, while the homeowner was away.

Other items allegedly stolen include a TV, DVDs and video games.

The snake is an Albino California kingsnake — one of the most commonly kept pet snakes — and is valued at between $300 and $400.

Police received a call Saturday afternoon reporting the alleged theft.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
