Police say additional charges have been laid in an investigation into alleged fraud at a Peterborough, Ont.-based non-profit organization.
They say the initial investigation revealed that between 2009 and 2015 the organization was allegedly defrauded of approximately $200,000.
Darlene Edwardes-Evans, 49, of Ennismore, Ont., was charged in April 2016 with three counts of fraud over $5,000.
Police say further investigation found that between 2005 and 2014 the organization was allegedly defrauded of further funds totalling more than $100,000.
Edwardes-Evans has been charged with money laundering, fraud over $5,000, and uttering a forged document.
They say that Robert Bestard, 57, also of Ennismore, has been charged with fraud over $5,000.
