Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has a new case.
The SIU was called in yesterday after an OPP officer was injured during an altercation on the Saugeen First Nation.
Police say officers with both the Bruce Peninsula and Grey County OPP were involved in a vehicle stop on Highway 21 Sunday afternoon.
During the stop there was an altercation that police say left one officer and the male driver with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was treated in hospital and later released into police custody.
The SIU investigates all reports involving police where there's been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
