Provincial police are warning motorists to avoid unnecessary travel due to the severe winter weather conditions in Huron County — east of Lake Huron.
Police say heavy winds and blowing snow are producing widespread whiteout conditions throughout the county.
OPP say they have closed part of Highway 21 north of Grand Bend and Highway 8 between Goderich and Seaforth due to dangerous conditions.
Police are advising motorists to check weather and road travel conditions by calling 511 before beginning a trip.
