Police are looking for witnesses after a teen was seriously burned in a bonfire at a bush party north of Toronto.

They say officers responding to a call on Sept. 5, were directed to a 16-year-old boy suffering from significant burns behind a community centre in East Gwillimbury, Ont.

Investigators say an estimated 150 teens from area high schools were attending a bush party when a group of four men arrived and started altercations with party-goers.

It's alleged that during one of the altercations a suspect threw the teen into the bonfire.

Investigators are appealing to witnesses to come forward and would also like to speak with anyone who may have taken mobile phone pictures during the party.
