There may be an end in sight to a 22-month strike at a beer can manufacturing plant in Toronto.

The United Steelworkers say a tentative agreement was reached late Wednesday with Crown Holdings.

The union says the proposed contract will be presented to striking workers and submitted to a ratification vote during the weekend of July 18.

Details of the agreement — reached with the assistance of the Ontario Labour Relations Board — will not be released prior to the ratification vote.

About 130 employees of Crown Holdings went on strike in September 2013, citing Crown's demands for massive concessions, including a two-tiered job structure.
