Police are investigating after a toddler ate part of a pill that was found on a slide in a Toronto park.

Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu says the 15-month-old boy found the pill around 12:15 p.m. Sunday in Bellevue Square Park in the Kensington Market neighbourhood.

She says the pill was anti-anxiety medication, but one parent was able to stop the child from swallowing the entire pill and says the child is fine.

Sidhu says police found more pills throughout the park.

She says they do not have any suspects at this time and are asking parents to be vigilant at parks and to report dangerous items to police.
