Toronto police say a man wanted in the sexual assault of a teenage girl has turned himself in.

They say Kurt Charles, 33, is facing six charges, including sexual assault on a person under 16, forcible confinement, assault, and sexual interference.

It's alleged he befriended a 14-year-old girl in the city's northwest sometime in the last year and sexually assaulted her.

Charles is set to appear in court Friday.
