Police have called off their search in Toronto's east end after receiving a tip about a man wanted for second-degree murder.
They received a call around 8:20 p.m. Sunday that said a witness saw Conrad Grizzle, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for the May 2014 shooting death of 20-year-old Douglas Parker, according to Const. Viktor Kwong.
"When he spotted police, he took off," Kwong said.
Police fanned out in the area, brought in the canine unit and York Regional police's helicopter, but lost him, said Kwong.
Kwong said police allegedly found a loaded gun and marijuana during the search, which was called off around 12:13 a.m.
"He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached," Kwong said.
Parker was shot and killed getting out of a taxi in Toronto's east end in 2014.
