A charge has been laid against a truck driver in connection with a fatal accident on Highway 401 east of Toronto last summer.
A westbound transport struck a westbound car in Whitby (east of Thickson Road) on June 24, killing a male passenger in the smaller vehicle, Manu Goswami, 29, of Toronto.
The male driver of the car and another male passenger were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
Steven Reid, 39, of Campbellford, is charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He will appear in Whitby provincial court on Jan. 8.
