Toronto police say a second teen has been arrested in connection with a series of purse-snatching incidents in the city.

Four women were attacked over a three-hour period Sunday, and police say in one case a gun was pulled and shots fired into the ground.

Police say two male suspects were involved in the robberies that took place near the city's lakefront (in the Bathurst Street and Front Street area).

A 14-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of robbery in connection with the incidents.

A second 14-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday and is also facing two counts of robbery.

The names of the two boys cannot be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
