Police in London, Ont., have laid an upgraded charge of first-degree murder against a man in connection with a fatal stabbing.

They say 28-year-old Jeremy Taylor was found outside a home on May 24 and rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Twenty-seven-year-old Adam Keith, of London, had been charged with second-degree murder, but police announced Wednesday the charge has been upgraded.

Police say the decision was made after further investigation and consultation with the Crown.

Keith appeared in court Wednesday for a bail hearing.
