A man is facing several charges after police say a break and enter led to a multi-vehicle collision northwest of Toronto.

Officers were initially called to a commercial robbery early Thursday in northern Mississauga (near Airport Road and Queen Street), which police say resulted in a short chase of the suspect.

In the midst of that pursuit, four vehicles were involved in a collision (near Queen Street East and Torbram Road) in Brampton.

Two people were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

David Richards, 55, of Bolton, faces charges including flight from police, break and enter to commit an offence and dangerous driving.

Area roads remained closed while police investigated the incident.
