Halton Regional Police say a 20-year old Toronto woman has died after being hit by a vehicle that mounted a sidewalk in Oakville.
Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene (on Trafalgar Road) Friday evening.
The 48-year old Oakville man who was driving the vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
There's no word yet whether charges are pending, but police say alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
