An Ottawa woman is facing charges in connection with two bank robberies in the city.
Police say the first incident happened Tuesday when a woman went into a bank (on Bank Street), gave a teller a note and indicated she had a weapon.
It's alleged a demand for cash was made but police say no weapon was seen and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say a similar incident took place Wednesday at another bank on the same street but that when the suspect fled she was followed by another customer and police arrested the suspect a short time later.
There were no injuries in either incident.
Laura Chretien, 43, is charged with two counts each of robbery and wearing a disguise.
