A 73-year-old woman has died in hospital following an apartment fire north of Toronto.
York Regional Police say the woman was found in her Newmarket apartment (on Stonehaven Avenue) on Monday.
She was taken to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries.
No one else was injured in the fire.
Police say the incident does not appear to be criminal in nature but the Ontario Fire Marshal will be investigating.
