Police in Woodstock, Ont., have charged a man after a three-year-old boy was found crying in the hallway of an apartment building.
Police say officers sent Sunday to investigate a report of a boy wandering in the hallway determined the child had been left home alone.
Const. Steven McEwen says police don't know how long the boy had been left alone in the apartment before he got out and was found crying by a neighbour.
Wade Messenger, 53, is charged with failing to provide the necessaries of life.
His next court appearance is set for March 31.
