Byron Froese and Peter Holland scored in the shootout to lift the Laval Rocket to a 6-5 win over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday in American Hockey League action.
Froese had a goal and an assist in regulation and Matt Taormina scored once and set up two for Laval (6-4-2). Eric Gelinas, Jakub Jerabek and Daniel Audette also scored.
Ben Thomas and Mathieu Joseph led the Crunch (3-5-3) with two goals and a helper apiece. Dominik Masin also scored.
Rocket goaltender Zachary Fucale made 32 saves for the win. Syracuse's Michael Leighton stopped 20 shots in the losing effort.
Laval was 3 for 7 on the power play while the Crunch scored twice on eight chances with the man advantage.
