Matthew Highmore scored the decisive goal in the shootout to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 3-2 victory over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Bokondji Imama scored back-to-back goals 45 seconds apart late in the third period to tie the game for Saint John (18-6-3), which has won seven of its last 10 games.

Samuel Girard, on a power play, and Tommy Cadiral scored in the first and second periods respectively to give the Cataractes (17-7-2) a 2-0 lead.

Sea Dogs goalie Alex Bishop stopped 24 shots. Shawinigan's Mikhail Denisov made 31 saves.
